Ski your way through the Bavarian Alps in the winter and hike rolling hills in the summer – Bavaria stuns all year round.
Getting there
Planes
You can fly into any of the region’s hubs (Nuremberg, Munich, Memmingen, Stuttgart or Salzburg) and then hop in a taxi – or rent a car at the airport – to reach your destination.
Trains
Trams and trains serve Bavaria well and are a great way to admire the dramatic scenery. Deutsche Bahn Regional trains have lines into and out of Munich, and are your best bet for getting around.
Automobiles
Given the scale of Bavaria, both horizontally and vertically, a pair of wheels is probably a good idea if you’re planning on venturing beyond your abode.
